Student Success Coaching

Student Success Coaching is available to all students at William Carey University. Student Success Coaching focuses on addressing specific areas of concern within academics and campus life. Topics typically covered in coaching sessions include organization skills, note-taking strategies, 测试准备, test-taking strategies, managing test anxiety, 研究策略, 目标设定, 时间管理. Students are welcome to set up recurring weekly appointments or one-time individual appointments.

的 Student Success Center offers students access to online tutoring from TutorMe.com. This online tutoring service provides Carey students with a live tutor 24 hours a day. Tutors are available to work with our students in a wide range of subjects. 辅导 sessions feature audio or video communication, 屏幕共享, a virtual whiteboard, and a chat feature to give students an efficient in-person lesson. 的早期预警 program is a proactive system of communication and collaboration between university faculty/staff and the Student Success Center to improve the success rate of our students in the classroom, promote positive student development, and help increase student retention at William Carey. Through this program, our office seeks to identify at-risk students early and develop an academic success intervention plan to help students reach individualized academic success goals.

早期预警 referral qualifications include poor attendance or consistent tardiness, low participation or motivation, poor quality of work, late and/or missing assignments, low exam or quiz grades, a need to address student success skills such as time management or study skills, or academic concerns.

的 Student Success Center serves as a bridge between students’ college experience and life after William Carey through various career services and resources. Our career services and resources assist students in connecting with career exploration, 规划, and employment opportunities.
